VELCANE is an established family run business of 36 years, located 6 miles south of the historic city of York and situated in the picturesque village of Wheldrake.

We pride ourselves in offering good value for money and a professional, modern service built on over 30 years of experience and customer feedback.

In addition to our comprehensive range of standard items we produce high quality bespoke furniture in pine, oak, and other hardwoods. Available in a large number of finishes, stained or painted, we can even match to paint suppliers, colour samples.

All our furniture is built to the highest of standards incorporating quality materials such as dovetail joints and fine fabrics

With our professional in-house design service we are more than happy to turn your ideas and into reality.

We also specialise in quality cane furniture selected from some of the best factories in the far-east. Our relations are built on over 36 years of trading. All the upholstery is made in selected factories in this region.

The fillings are the best quality available and customers can select from a wide range of fabrics.

We can also supply new sets of cushions for existing furniture and can fully refurbish your existing suit.

On site we have displays by Alpine Orangery’s, specialising in the construction of beautiful home extensions and portable buildings and garages supplied by Weathermaster of Leeds and Sharps World of Wood.
